17FromMay 6 to 9, 2025, the 10th International Mold Technology Exhibition (MouldingExpo) was successfully held at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center in Germany. As aprofessional event in the field of mold manufacturing and mold technology inEurope, this exhibition gathered more than 600 exhibitors from dozens ofcountries around the world, with an exhibition area of 31,500 ㎡. ACOT Plastics(Xiamen) Co., Ltd, together with its German branch of the group, participatedin this exhibition.

Sinceits founding in 2015, the Stuttgart Molding Expo has become an authoritativedisplay platform for European molding technology. This exhibition was hosted byMesse Stuttgart GmbH and supported by three major German mechanicalprofessional associations, including the German Machine Tool Builders'Association (VDW) and the German Association of Tool and Mold Manufacturers(VDMF).
Theexhibition scope covers multiple fields such as molds and equipment, machinetools, tools, and testing technology. Visitors mainly come from industrialfields such as the automotive industry, mold industry, machine toolmanufacturers, packaging and plastic industries, showing highly professionalcharacteristics.
At theexhibition, ACOT display of IMD (In-Mold Decoration) technology attracted theattention of many important European enterprises. Professional visitors showedstrong interest in the displayed skylight ambient light zone control andsliding control technology.
Manfred,Project Director of ALPS ALPINE EUROPE GmbH, paid special attention to the zonecontrol and sliding control technology of skylight ambient light when visitingthe IMD products, and took on-site photos for record. This reflects the growingdemand for personalized interior solutions in the automotive electronics field.
Franz,Technical Manager of BSH (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bosch), also showedstrong interest in the displayed IMD products and planned to optimize thedesign of existing button-type products with a more integrated design scheme. This indicates that the home appliance industry is also actively seeking toenhance product added value through surface decoration technology.
TheProject Manager of Continental Automotive Technologies GmbH expressed stronginterest in the wood grain visible/invisible effect and skylight ambient lighttechnology.
TheGerman Mold Manager of Magna Systemically GmbH conducted in-depth exchanges oncost optimization of carbon fiber rearview mirrors and expressed the urgentdemand for intelligent cockpit space sense and lightweight.
Thisexhibition presented a new trend of supply chain collaborative innovation inthe mold industry. Many supplier enterprises specializing in providing completemold supporting parts participated in the exhibition in a bundled manner, demonstrating the efficient cooperation mode of standard parts, customizedparts and non-standard parts.
Thisdivision of labor and cooperation mode provides new ideas for moldmanufacturers: through professional division of labor, an optimized scheme withfast speed and low cost can be realized. The close cooperation of enterprisesin all links of the supply chain is becoming an important force to promote thedevelopment of the mold manufacturing industry.
Theseinteractions indicate that automotive supply chain enterprises have highexpectations for the application prospects of innovative mold technology.
Theexperience of this exhibition also triggered thinking on the effectiveness ofthe exhibition. The booth design was too inclined to product display and lackedvisual impact, which is an aspect worthy of improvement. In contrast, placingcomplex-structured molds on the booth and adding action demonstrations can moreeffectively attract customers' attention and demonstrate the company'stechnical level.
Similarly, product display also needs to be more attractive. Although the IMD products ondisplay attracted professional attention, limited by the display space, therewas only a small table, which lacked sufficient visual impact at a glance. Thisreminds us that future exhibitions need to pay more attention to visual displayeffects and space planning.
Afterthe exhibition, effective customer follow-up is crucial. For the interestedcustomers contacted at the exhibition, documents including ACOT latest IMDtechnology have been sent on May 7, and colleagues from VOKE Germany have beenentrusted to further contact them, hoping to better promote cooperationopportunities. This localized follow-up strategy is expected to improve thecustomer conversion rate.
Throughfruitful exchanges with fellow exhibitors at the exhibition, the internalcollaboration and resource sharing of multinational enterprise groups after theexhibition are becoming an effective model for exploring the internationalmarket. At the same time, by utilizing the resources and language advantages ofthe German company, enterprises can promote international cooperation moresmoothly.
Facingthe transformation of the global manufacturing industry, the Stuttgart Molding Expoprovides an important platform for technological innovation and marketexpansion in the industry. After the exhibition, VOKE Germany will assist inpromoting the follow-up customer work and use localized advantages to advancecooperation negotiations. We need to pay more attention to the innovation ofexhibition strategies, and stand out in professional exhibitions through moreimpactful visual presentation and technical demonstrations.
